House Construction in Lahore: Live Site Updates

Live update from a house we are building in Lahore. These are real photos from our own site, shown stage by stage so you can see how Glorious Builders builds: soil compaction, brick masonry, lintel shuttering and curing. We add new photos here as the work moves forward.

Stage 1: Soil compaction and plinth filling

We compact the soil in layers before any plinth filling, so the floor does not settle later.

Stage 2: Brick masonry starts at the plinth line

Stage 3: Brick walls going up on scaffolding

Stage 4: Rooms take shape up to lintel level

Stage 5: Lintel shuttering

Shuttering and steel supports go in before the lintel is cast over doors and windows.

Stage 6: Water curing

Fresh brick work and concrete are cured with water so they gain full strength.

What to check at each stage

These checks apply to any house build in Lahore, whoever your contractor is. They match the stages shown above.

Soil compaction and plinth filling. Fill should be laid in layers and compacted, not dumped. Poor compaction shows up later as floor cracks.
Brick masonry. Check brick quality, wall thickness against the drawing, and that joints are filled and staggered.
Lintels. Shuttering should be level and firm, and reinforcement placed as per the structural drawing before concrete goes in.
Curing. Concrete needs to be kept wet after casting. Ask how many days of curing are planned.
